Susan Miranda Threlkeld, RN, CCM is the owner and principal manager of Care Coordination Consulting, LLC. She brings over 15 years of experience as a certified case manager to the company. Founded in 2006, Care Coordination Consulting, LLC offers medical case management and consulting services to employers, providers, and individuals to assist them in obtaining cost-effective patient care without sacrificing quality of treatment.

Biographical Background

Ms. Threlkeld has served in the health care industry for over 37 years. Her background includes acute care settings, home care, industry and education. In 1983 she obtained her certification in Gastroenterology and Infusion Therapy. She has served in management positions in home care and as an educator. In 1991, she obtained her certification as a case manager. Her case management practice settings have included acute care, medical group health, home health care, worker's compensation, disability management and consulting. Her areas of practice have included brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, catastrophic illness/injury, medically complex, oncology, disease management and transplants. She maintains her expertise in clinical practice with ongoing education.

In 2009, Ms. Threlkeld served as President for the DFW Chapter of Case Management Society of America (CMSA) and was also honored by her peers as Case Manager of the Year for that chapter. Over the years, she has held active roles in various professional organizations, including  Membership Chair for the Texas Nursing Association District 4 where she edited and developed its professional area directory. In 2004, prior to moving back to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she served as President of the Colorado Chapter of CMSA, sat on its Board of Directors and was a Program Coordinator for the chapter.
